Yesterday NASA published a new photograph taken on July 19, 2013, by a wide-angle camera on the Cassini spacecraft that shows a view of Earth from the dark side of Saturn. In the photo Earth is 898 million miles away and the moon appears as just a tiny protrusion off to the right (you might need to see it up close). According to NASA this is only the third time that Earth has ever been photographed from the outer solar system.

Xana and Demri on Rolling Stone: Hey, It Could Happen!

This got such a huge and positive response on social media, we figured we'd better archive it here, and while we're at it, you know it just may be an interesting story, so whoever wants to pick up the phone and let them know I'm ready to talk, go right ahead!

Heh Heh, I joke!  I'm way too busy for Rolling Stone, besides it's way more fun being almost famous!

Thanks anyhow, unless I get a personal invitation hand written and delivered with flowers from Cameron Crowe, I think I'll just stick to my own publication!

Brace Yourselves, The Mustache is Coming! Soundgarden to Play Free Show in Seattle

Is it true?  Will the people that didn't have $200.00 for a ticket to see Soundgarden finally get a glimpse of Chris Cornell at Sub Pop's 25 Year Anniversary Show?  For the past few years The Mustache has been slithering into town undetected, under the Xanaland radar.
This month, a few short days away Seattle is rumored to be getting treated to a REAL free show, not just local bands you can see anytime, so this is really great news and I hope the day goes smoothly for everyone!
Here is the link to the event for details!

 ( Hopefully) a show teaser:

p.s. we love fan videos keep them coming!

We here at Xanaland understand the complexities and ups and downs of being in the Seattle grunge scene, and also as the widow of Andrew Wood, I myself understand what it's like to feel left behind.  Jason has persevered and become a wonderful human being, It makes you realize that people really do have their own destinies, so congratulations Jason from us here at Xanaland, I only met you once, but I'm sure I speak for the entire Seattle music scene when I say we are very proud of you!
