Spend Halloween Night With The Missionary Position, Shawn Smith & The Undead Burlesque! At Highway 99 Blues Club

Oh how the immortal Phantoms crowd around me!
What charm thy music works!
I see the vast alembic ever working
I see and know the flames that heat the world
The glow, the blush, the beating hearts of lovers
So blissful  happy some, and some so silent, dark and nigh to death
Love, that is all the earth to lovers
Love-that mocks time and space
Love that is day and night
Love that is sun, moon, and stars
Love that is crimson, sumptuous, sick with perfume
No other words but words of love
No other thoughts but love tonight

What can I say, when I think of Jefferson Angell's music and of Seattle's beloved Shawn Smith's angelic, lovely voice it makes me want to recite classic poetry. Oh, who am I fooling, I'll use any excuse to show off my literary finesse! But in all seriousness, those who know me and follow Xanaland know that these two performers are very dear to my heart.

So when we saw that they were playing together at Seattle's best blues club, The Highway 99 Blues Club -- well, we jumped right on it and made sure we got tickets right away! And for $12.00 a ticket, I think this has got to be the best deal in Seattle this Halloween! I'd have paid double that! I can't think of a sexier way to spend Halloween this year. There is rarely stuff to do for Halloween that doesn't consist of loud dance music and loud people making drinking their main party theme.

Twisted Trystan -- He strives to make you squeal!

This night promises to be filled with super sexy moments from the infamous Undead Burlesque, featuring some of Seattle's most interesting burlesque performers, including Twisted Trystan and Seraphina Fiero, an unmatched vocal performance from Shawn Smith ending with your socks getting rocked off by singer Jefferson Angell,  pianist Ben Anderson, and Michael Alex -- Seattle's most adorable drummer -- fact, not opinion!
(try arguing about this with Sancho the monkey and you just might get a fish slap) Jeff is also becoming quite the comedian...

I've talked about this before, but one of my most memorable New Years Eves was at Seattle's Sorrento Hotel with The Missionary Position. It was like something out of an old movie with elegance of the past where elderly hotel guests mixed it up with rock stars like Duff McKagan from Jeff and Ben's other band, Walking Papers. They truly bring pure magic to any holiday.

The food at Highway 99 is another reason we love to spend special evenings there. From basic beans and rice to Jambalaya, to my favorite -- Chicken Gumbo with rice -- you can't go wrong! Tables are limited, though, so be sure to book one now!

Help bring the sexy and show up in costume! Make your table reservations here!
