Special guest music performances by The Experience Gospel Choir, Bernadette Bascom, The Missionary Position, Amanda Hardy, Ayron Jones, Jen Ayers, Wanz and many more.

The Seattle Sound is a live music, dance revue and narrative celebration of the people and places that have made our town a significant spot in the culture of music worldwide. This historic journey begins with a Native American percussion/native tongue vocal piece and brings us through many aspects of the music of Seattle, including jazz, R&B, soul, rock and roll, grunge, post-grunge, and modern-day hip hop.

This live music revue will be accompanied by the dance showcase of Stripped Screw Burlesque. The five-piece dance troupe features Violet Tendencies, Seraphina Fiero, Kutie LaBootie, Lady Drew Blood and Stella D’Letto. These are the ladies that have brought you Disney After Dark, The Best Burlesque Pageant Ever, Undressed to Kill and many more wonderful productions throughout the years.

Burlesque fans may recognize our featured vocalist, Jen Ayers! She has a throat of gold that could go one-on-one with any rock diva. She is a classically trained pianist, choir performer and rock singer and has been a recurring vocalist in the fantastic Paulanowevent production of Houses of Thee UnHoly as well as Teatro ZinZanni Seattle's Dream On, returning under the tent this spring. She has performed the National Anthem at NBS and MLB games coast to coast and earned herself a spot with the best of
the best in Seattle rock and roll in The Triple Door's “Bonzo’s Celebration Day.”

We are thrilled to have Bernadette Bascom join us at The Seattle Sound! Bernadette is the daughter of prominent Baptist minister and civil rights activist Marion Bascom and longtime music teacher Lutherine Bascom. At 18, she became the first artist signed to Stevie Wonder's Black Bull record label. She was in the long-standing Divine Divas in Las Vegas, as well as a member of Motown CafĂ©, hosted at the New York New York Hotel. Since returning to her adopted hometown of Seattle, Bern has gone on to receive a “Living Legend Award” for her contributions to music in the City of Seattle.

In the spotlight today is Seattle guitarist and front man Ayron Jones, who has become one of Seattle’s hottest up-and-comers with his brand of Seattle rock. Jones has taken a hybrid style of guitar playing pioneered by Jimi Hendrix, in which the chord and solo are played at the same time, and infused the raw energy of punk with the inner city attitude of hip hop. The result is a soulful reincarnation of the iconic Seattle sound. Ayron has performed at Seattle's Bumbershoot festival, supported BB King at Moore Theatre, and been produced by
Sir Mixalot. He is currently in the studio being produced by Barrett Martin (Mad Season, Screaming Trees and Walking Papers).

Here's some video of Ayron-if you haven't seen him, you must not deny yourself any longer!

The Missionary Position plays an intoxicating blend of dark, dirty blues-rock, with ambient undertones and introspective lyrics that invite comparisons to The Doors, P.J. Harvey, Mark Lanegan, and Morphine. However, with one listen to Diamonds in a Dead Sky it is obvious that The Missionary Position has succeeded in defining a sound for themselves that is undeniably unique.
Led by Seattle rock icon, vocalist,/lead guitarist/songwriter Jeff Angell, (Post Stardom Depression, Walking Papers), these guys have been selling out most every room that books them this side of the Mississippi and beyond. The rhythm section is filled out by Michael Alex on drums and Benjamin Anderson, (Walking Papers) on the organ.

Lets face it, there's no one more dynamic as a blues rock frontman in Seattle! Check them out!

Up and coming rocker Amanda Hardy is barely out of high school and already has endorsments from Yamaha guitar, you'll be glad you saw her early in her career!
